#PreorderMySoul: The Bid My Soul Farewell preorder giveaway!

Want to go into the draw for a bundle of five autographed books? Would you like a book signed by Veronica Roth, Leigh Bardugo, Marie Lu, Victoria Aveyard, Rainbow Rowell, Ransom Riggs, Tahereh Mafi, Sabaa Tahir, Stephanie Garber, Holly Black, Gayle Forman, Neil Gaiman or one of over one hundred and fifty YA authors? What about a hardcover sent out before its publication date? What about a whole series, or a book from the UK or Australia?

Well, this is your lucky day! Preorder Bid My Soul Farewell by Beth Revis and you’ll go into the prize draw — you might score an autographed copy of that mega-bestseller you’ve been dying for, or you might discover your new favourite author. There are over forty prize packs up for grabs!

Wait, this is your website, Amie. Why is Beth’s preorder here?

Beth Revis is an incredible human being. She’s one of the most generous authors around, and never hesitates to share her time, wisdom and enthusiasm with readers and with her fellow publishing peeps. And right now, she’s having a tough time — as she’s explained, her husband is very seriously ill. She needs to focus on what matters right now, but she has a book coming out this September. And sometimes in life, you really do reap what you sow. Beth’s been there for so many people in the publishing world, and now they’re rallying around to help promote her new book for her, so she can keep her mind on her family.

Okay, what’s on offer?

Over 200 signed books have been donated by over 150 authors. If you enter the draw, you go into the draw to win one of more 40 prize packs — each will contain five books, all signed by the author. That’s right — five autographed books, straight to your door. And with this many prize packs, your odds are great! There’s a full list of the authors participating at the bottom of this page.

The vast majority of the packs will be YA books, but a few will be middle grade, adult or romance — if you’re interested in those in particular, please mention this when you forward your receipt. Your books might be hardcovers or paperbacks. They might be ARCs of upcoming books, or even a hardcover of a book that hasn’t pubbed yet!

Holy cake! What do I need to do to get my hands on these glorious books?

It’s super simple! Preorder your copy of Bid My Soul Farewell and then forward your receipt to preordermysoul@gmail.com — and make sure you include your postal address! Again, though most packages are YA, please indicate if you’re interested in a middle grade or a romance pack.

That sounds easy! When’s the deadline?

You need to buy the book and send in your receipt by September 30th 2019.

Who can enter the draw?

Anyone can enter, but prizes can only be posted to a US address, so if you live elsewhere, you’ll need to nominate a buddy to receive your prize. Alternately, you could use a company like ShipItTo (or one of many others) which provide you with a US postal address, but you would then need to pay your own postage between the US and your overseas address. (I’m not affiliated with or endorsing ShipItTo or any other company, and I can’t provide any support in terms of how to use them — if you’re interested, you can read up at their websites.)

Can I enter to win specific books?

Nope — if you win, your prize pack will be allocated randomly. This giveaway is being run by one very busy author (hi!) and it’s just not possible to go through every entry and put everyone’s name into the draw for specific prize packs. But you can rest assured, you’ll get five signed books in your pack, and every one will be amazing!

Can I enter if I buy the ebook? What about the audiobook?

You sure can! Any edition of Bid My Soul Farewell in any format will count!

Will I get a confirmation email when I send in my receipt?

You’ll get an automatic confirmation that your entry was received, but we won’t be checking that you’ve remembered to include your receipt and address. It’s up to you to remember — you can’t win if you don’t!

How will I find out if I win or not?

Winners will be notified by October 10th 2019 — if you don’t hear by then, alas, you didn’t win.

When will I get my prize if I win?

The prize packs will go in the mail in October — after that, it’s up to the mail gods.

Who will get my address if I provide it?

I’ll see it, because I’m managing the inbox it’s going to, and one other person who’s handling the posting of the books will see it as well. We both promise to forget it as soon as we’re finished. If you’re under eighteen, you should ask a parent or guardian before providing your address.

Anything else I need to know?

That’s just about it! We need to offer a no-purchase option by law, so you can also enter by sending a postcard with your name, mailing address and a statement that you’re entering the competition to PO Box 563, Mentone, VIC, 3193, Australia. It’ll need to arrive by the entry deadline.

If you’ve got any questions about anything to do with the competition, please tweet me at @AmieKaufman and I’ll do my best to reply promptly. But please keep in mind that this giveaway is being run by Beth’s friends, not a publisher, so we appreciate your patience — and your support!
