Internet, life is good. Here are some of the reasons why.
My critique partner, co-author and part-time chef of choice, Meagan Spooner. Here we are in San Francisco towards the end of one of our epic road trips.
Kate, far away at Yale, but as close to me as ever. Here we are together ten years ago at her family’s place out in the bush. There’s a working bee going on, and we’re slacking off making sandwiches for everyone.
Kacey — generous and patient to a fault, and too far away in Ohio. She’s a mad genius behind that sweet smile. She has a whole pack of hounds at her command (though some of them are pretty small). Here she is on our holiday together in Vietnam last year.
Jack, world championship cuddler. He hasn’t worked out that these days he’s too big to fit in my lap. He only has to hear the click of my keyboard and he comes to lie by my feet until I’m done. The perfect writing assistant.
Husband, the funniest, sweetest, most supportive man alive, I’m sure of it. We’ve been together ten years, and I love him more each one. He got me a necklace with a typewriter pendant for my birthday, as well as a pair of steampunk opera glasses. He’s an amazing cook. He offers great critique on my writing. He’s a qualified carpenter and has just finished lining my study with bespoke bookshelves. He’s quite the catch.
Happy Thanksgiving, Internet! Who are you thankful for, this year?

Lovely happy post, so Happy Thanksgiving!
Happy Thanksgiving!!
What a lovely post! I’m thankful for my husband, my children, my mother and my whole extended family. I’m thankful for my church, my health and my love of books. And I’m thankful for all the wonderful people I’ve met through blogging!
Happy Thanksgiving! I’m thankful for my family and friends and for my health. That’s so cool that Husband gave you steampunk opera glasses! Share pictures!
Aww, so sweet! I still need to draft my official Thanksgiving post, but I’m thankful for the usual: Good friends, wonderful family, steps in the right writing direction, health, and happiness.
What a lovely post. Happy Thanksgiving!
Amie, you have some awesome people around you – and of course, Jack is included. I’m grateful for my family and friends too. They make the struggles and challenges bearable.
I hope you had a great Thanksgiving. Your list is wonderful. I’m also thankful for the many people who provide love and support.
Lovely photos and post!
Hope you had a wonderful weekend!
All wonderful reasons to be thankful!
Your husband sounds like such a cutie and so thoughtful.
great pics (as usual)
I’m thankful for Wednesday, my fat grey cat who is terrible to our dog, but sweet to mommy. She rests right beside me as I write. I’m thankful for my parents, who always believe. My husband who doesn’t because it pushes me farther than I’ve ever thought that I could go. My brothers – for everything, even the bad stuff. And for you – for reminding me that I need to be thankful and how good it feels to have people to be thankful for!
I love your thankful list! I hope your Thanksgiving was fabulous!
